We've created a comprehensive bumper and skid plate package that offers the best approach clearance possible, and is the most inclusive package we've ever offered! Everything integrates to create something far more than just the average bolt on bumper.
Through the entire design and engineering process of our Black Diamond series front bumper our intent was zero compromise and zero excess. From the start we knew we wanted the absolute most approach clearance possible without sacrificing any strength for hard hits and challenging recoveries. To start we cut out the original low-hanging front cross member ("Cross Member Delete") from under the frame and then designed our own replacement cross member that not only provides a place to attach the front of the beefy new skid plate, but it also wraps around and strengthens the front frame ends that the bumper mounts to. This design also allowed for more mounting bolt locations to be added so we could broaden and enhance the strength of the bumper over the mounting area. It also cleverly allows the bumper, cross member, and skid plate to all come together at one location which transfers stresses between each component for added strength and then gives everything a clean transition from one component to the next.
This is a complete integrated bundle includes the Black Diamond series bumper, weld-in replacement cross member, and high clearance front skid plate! PLUS:
- Upgraded aluminum 10-row power steering cooler kit. Includes steering cooler relocation with mounting brackets, fittings, hoses. (power steering fluid will be needed to top-off the system, but is not included)
- A Winch control box relocation bracket is included! Due to the high clearance design, the winch control must be moved off the top of the winch, and we include the relocation solution as standard!

- The bumper is constructed from a combination of laser cut 3/16 and 1/4" HRPO steel and 1-3/4" and 1-1/2" DOM tubing for the best balance of strength and weight.
- The lower trim panel beneath the winch is made from laser cut marine-grade 1/4" thick 5052 series Aluminum.
- The bumper weighs just 70-80 pounds depending on hoop option chosen!
- Standard/Included front skid plate is laser cut from 3/16 HRPO steel and precision CNC press brake formed.
- Bumper tube ends are shortened as standard to line up with common fender/flare cuts when fitting larger tires or Long travel suspension setups.
- Recessed recovery points are integrated in line with the frame mounting locations for maximum strength. Dual 1/4" plate overlays fully welded for strength, with holes sized to allow for use of common 3/4" D-ring shackles.
- Mounting brackets are welded under the upper side tubes to allow for 2-3 sets of auxiliary LED lights to be mounted to the bumper!
- Standard winch mounting area for 8-12k winches.
- Note: Certain, larger bodied winches are not recommended due to grille clearance. Examples: HFT Badlands Apex, Warn Zeon, and similar are NOT recommended. Recommended winches include Warn VR Evo series, Carbon offroad winches, and other compact sized 8-12K truck/Jeep winches.
- Bumper, skid, and brackets ship RAW/BARE metal and must be painted or powder coated for rust prevention before installation on vehicle.
- Additional skid plates are currently in development and will be available at a later date to further complete the package and protect the transmission and transfer case.
- **This product is more involved than regular bumper installs and is recommended to be done by a professional. Cutting and welding of the trucks' frame is required for installation!**
