For years Toyota has made layered tailgates with both a sheet metal exterior and ribbed plastic interior and top panels. Not only has this design been weak, but the ribs also very inconvenient when placing items on the tailgate and climbing in and out of the truck bed.
We've been producing a solution to this problem since 2010 for the earlier generation Tacomas and now we've expanded our offerings to cover the 2024+ 4th generation Tacoma as well!
These panels feature countersunk stainless steel hardware for a nearly perfectly smooth surface that is great to use around campsites and job sites! Plus, if you put your Tacoma to work and haul heavy gear, motorcycles and equipment the unique design of wrapping the inner panel over the top cap of the tailgate ensures extra strength to prevent tailgate failure. Truly an all in one solution no matter how you use your Tacoma, work or play!

- Available bare aluminum or powder coated. Marine grade aluminum can be left bare and will slightly dull over time, or powder coated to blend in to the surroundings.
Availability:
We work hard to keep panels in stock. Sometimes we'll run out in which case manufacturing and powder coating time will apply, estimated 2-4 weeks. We make all parts in-house in our Sparks NV facility.
